We are seeking an experienced MicroStrategy Developer with strong expertise in SQL and Data Modeling to join our clientβs team in Katy, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining MicroStrategy solutions while ensuring data accuracy, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and optimize MicroStrategy dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
β’ Build and maintain semantic layers, schema objects, and metadata within MicroStrategy.
β’ Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
β’ Write and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting and analytics.
β’ Design and implement efficient data models to support business reporting needs.
β’ Perform system performance tuning and troubleshoot issues across BI solutions.
β’ Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and governance across reporting platforms.
Required Skills & Qualifications
β’ Strong, hands-on experience as a MicroStrategy Developer (5+ years preferred).
β’ Proven expertise in SQL development (query optimization, stored procedures, functions).
β’ Solid knowledge of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, star schema, snowflake schema).
β’ Ability to work with large datasets and complex data integration scenarios.
β’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
β’ Local to Katy, Texas or willing to relocate (preferred).
Nice-to-Have Skills
β’ Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL tools.
β’ Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
β’ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
