Role description
Role: Middleware Cloud Service Engineer Duration: 12 months Job description: We are seeking a Middleware Cloud Services Engineer to design, implement, and support our Enterprise Integration Platform across cloud and data center environments, ensuring high availability, automation, and security. The role involves hands-on development, R&D, and operational support with a strong focus on WSO2 API Manager (Gateway, Control Plane, Traffic Manager, Key Manager) including configuration, troubleshooting, performance testing, and distributed deployment best practices. You will integrate WSO2 with Ping IDP/Ping Federate, manage API security using OAuth2, JWT, and implement end-to-end tracing with tools like Dynatrace. Expertise in WSO2 Micro-Integrator, orchestration of integrations, and deployment on OpenShift 4.x/Kubernetes is essential. Experience with Spring Boot, Java, Microservices, Docker, REST/SOAP, Postgres, CI/CD, BitBucket, Azure DevOps, and AWS services (EC2, S3, EFS, VPC) is required. The role includes mentoring team members, creating SOPs, and driving automation strategies using Infrastructure-as-Code principles. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential, with the ability to operate in a Scrum/Agile environment. Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred) with 8+ years of enterprise platform experience and at least 3 years of deep WSO2 API Manager work. Familiarity with Splunk integration, CRI-O, and PostgreSQL replication/migration in WSO2 environments is a plus. You will collaborate closely with architecture, security, engineering, and operations teams to deliver resilient, high-performance integration solutions.
