Job#: 3017855 Job Description: Job Title: Sr. DevOps / Infrastructure Consultant Location: California (Local preferred; SCAL acceptable) Contract Type: Contract-to-Hire (4–6 months, minimum 4 months) Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. DevOps / Infrastructure Consultant to join our team and backfill a critical role. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong infrastructure background who has transitioned into DevOps. The role focuses on building and maintaining AI infrastructure, optimizing compute environments, and supporting advanced data workloads. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments. • Set up and maintain AI infrastructure, including GPU configuration and workload optimization. • Install and configure R, RStudio, Jupyter Notebooks, and related tools. • Deploy and manage Vault (HashiCorp) for secrets management. • Develop and maintain automation scripts and Ansible playbooks (experience with Chef and Jenkins preferred). • Configure Linux systems, apply patches, and troubleshoot issues. • Implement load balancing solutions (e.g., Traefik). • Support Spark, H2O/Steam, and MapR environments for big data workloads. • Work with Airflow and Slurm for workflow orchestration and scheduling. • Collaborate with internal teams (including Kiran) in an ACI environment. • Assist in migration from SAS to R/Python for analytics workloads. • Ensure infrastructure readiness for VAS storage and Spark compute workloads. • Develop and maintain Django applications as needed. Required Skills & Experience • Expert-level Python development skills. • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (understand it “like the back of your hand”). • Experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting. • Familiarity with R and its ecosystem. • Hands-on experience with Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, and automation scripting. • Knowledge of Spark, H2O, MapR, and distributed computing frameworks. • Understanding of Airflow, Slurm, and their integration. • Ability to set up and optimize GPU environments for AI workloads. • Solid grasp of load balancing and networking concepts. • Background as a Systems Engineer with progression into DevOps. • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
