Role description
Role OverviewWe are seeking a Mobility Practice Architect to lead the strategy, design, and technical delivery of next-generation enterprise and consumer mobility solutions. This role requires a hands-on technical architect with deep expertise in iOS, Android, and AI/ML integration in mobility, capable of both coding at an expert level and guiding global delivery teams.
The Architect will shape the mobility practice by building scalable mobile platforms for field automation, consumer self-service, site surveys, AR/ML-powered validation, and global multilingual deployments. The ideal candidate is a technical visionary who thrives at the intersection of mobile app engineering, AI innovation, and cloud-native architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and lead development of enterprise-grade mobile applications for field services, consumer engagement, and global operations.
Provide hands-on coding and technical leadership across iOS (Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin, Java).
Design and implement AI/ML-powered mobile features, including AR-enabled site surveys, Edge AI photo audits, and intelligent chatbots.
Build offline-first, secure, and multilingual apps optimized for deployment in 80+ countries.
Define end-to-end mobile architecture, ensuring integration with cloud services (AWS and GCP) and enterprise backends.
Collaborate with product, UX, and backend engineering teams to ensure seamless design-to-delivery execution.
Establish mobile DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management.
Evaluate emerging AI/GenAI frameworks, AR/ML toolkits, and mobility technologies to continually evolve the practice.
Mentor engineers, establish coding standards, and guide cross-functional teams on mobile + AI delivery models.
Act as a thought leader and client-facing technology advisor, presenting solution roadmaps and innovation strategies.
Requirements
12+ years of software engineering experience with at least 6 years as a senior mobile architect/technical lead.
Deep hands-on expertise in iOS (Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin, Java) application development.
Strong experience in AI/ML for mobility – working with frameworks like Core ML, TensorFlow Lite, ML Kit, Hugging Face, and LLM/GenAI APIs.
Proven track record in AR/ML integration (ARKit, ARCore) for mobile field automation and site surveys.
Advanced knowledge of cloud-native mobile architectures leveraging AWS (S3, Lambda, SageMaker, Bedrock, AppSync), or GCP.
Strong understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs, mobile security, authentication (OAuth2/JWT), and data encryption.
Experience with multilingual app development, offline-first design, and global deployments.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, Gradle, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and automated mobile testing.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills; ability to dive deep into code and resolve complex technical challenges.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive innovation, mentor teams, and engage directly with clients.
Nice to Have
Experience in SaaS platforms, PropTech, or telecom mobility solutions.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for mobile backends.
Contributions to open-source mobility or AI frameworks.
Published technical papers, patents, or podcasts on AI in mobility or mobile architecture innovation.
Job Type: Contract
Experience:
IOS: 8 years (Preferred)
Android: 8 years (Preferred)
Telecom: 6 years (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
