Role description
Role: Model Developer Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) Duration: 12months (Possible Extension/Conversion) We are seeking a Cross-Margin Quantitative Model Developer to support Counterparty Credit Risk Modeling initiatives. The role focuses on developing, enhancing, and validating cross-margin methodologies and counterparty credit risk models across asset classes including equities, commodities, energy derivatives, and convertible bonds. Required Qualifications 5+ years of quantitative analytics/modeling experience. Strong expertise in Cross-Margining (Prime Brokerage/Derivatives Clearing). Advanced Python development skills and strong SQL knowledge. Solid background in mathematics, statistics, probability, and stochastic modeling. Experience with counterparty credit risk models and capital markets products. Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot. Skill Focus Cross-Margin Expertise: 50% Quantitative Modeling & Mathematics: 30% Python & SQL Development: 20% Key Responsibilities Develop and improve cross-margin and counterparty credit risk models. Perform quantitative analysis, derive mathematical formulas, and identify model gaps. Build and maintain Python-based quantitative libraries and prototypes. Use SQL to analyze large datasets and support model validation. Collaborate with model owners, business stakeholders, technology teams, and auditors.
