Job Title: Data & Model Development Analyst – Treasury and Commercial Lending

Overview:
The Treasury and Financial Modelling group is seeking a skilled Data & Model Development Analyst to support loan balance forecasting and stress testing for commercial lending products. The successful candidate will work within the PPNR Model Development team to analyze, manipulate, and transform data for modeling purposes, while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, and IT.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and synthesize large datasets to support stress testing models
• Build automated tools and data pipelines for model development and production
• Develop complex data models and ETL jobs using standard bank tools
• Interpret business/data requirements and translate into technical designs
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance with enterprise data standards
• Collaborate across teams to resolve data issues and ensure model integrity
• Communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
Must Have:
• 5–10 years’ experience in advanced data analytics (manipulation, transformation)
• Proficiency in SAS, Python, SQL, VBA
• Strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Nice to Have:
• Experience with commercial loans, retail lending, or banking
• Knowledge of predictive modeling or data model governance
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments or Microsoft Azure
• Background in research or published academic work
Qualifications:
• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field
