Project Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate Data Engineer to support a government-focused initiative requiring strong expertise in MongoDB NoSQL database design and optimization. This role will focus heavily on data storage architecture, indexing strategies, and performance tuning within MongoDB environments.
The position also supports ongoing migration efforts to Oracle Exadata and requires solid experience in ETL processes, data governance, and cloud-based data engineering solutions.
Your Impact
• Design, implement, and optimize MongoDB storage solutions, including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning
• Support database migration efforts to Oracle Exadata, including stored procedures and relational database design
• Develop and maintain robust ETL pipelines
• Implement and enforce data governance and access controls
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
• Collaborate on infrastructure automation (Terraform experience is a plus)
• Work with big data technologies to support scalable data processing
• Utilize Azure or other cloud technologies for modern data solutions
• Ensure compliance with government contractual requirements
Required Skills
• Strong expertise in MongoDB NoSQL database design, indexing, and optimization
• Experience supporting government projects and understanding compliance requirements
• Working knowledge of ETL processes and data governance frameworks
• Familiarity with Oracle databases and stored procedures (migration to Oracle Exadata)
• Experience with big data technologies
• Experience working in Azure or other cloud environments
• Hands-on experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines
