MRM Tech Analyst/Business Analyst within Model Risk Management (MRM) i Contract Onsite/Hybrid NY shoud have hands on (Python/SQL), Job Summary We are seeking a Model Risk Management (MRM) Tech Analyst with a strong functional background in model and market risk. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business and technology teams, refine user stories, understand model logic/code (Python/SQL), and support model governance and risk initiatives. This role requires strong analytical capability, technical understanding, and excellent stakeholder communication skills. Key Responsibilities • Act as a Business Analyst within Model Risk Management (MRM) initiatives. • Collaborate with Model Risk, Market Risk, Quant, and Technology teams to refine and document user stories. • Analyze and understand model code (Python, SQL) to translate technical logic into business requirements. • Interpret regulatory requirements related to model risk and ensure compliance alignment. • Perform data analysis using SQL and Python to validate model outputs and reconcile results. • Prepare functional specifications, BRDs, FRDs, and test cases. • Support UAT, defect resolution, and production deployment activities. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across Risk, Finance, and IT. Required Skills & Experience • Strong background in Model Risk Management (MRM) or Market Risk. • Experience working as a Business Analyst in MRM environment. • Ability to understand and interpret model code (Python, SQL). • Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL for analysis. • Good understanding of financial models, risk models, or pricing models. • Experience refining user stories and working in Agile environments. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
