Role description
Role :- MuleSoft Architect Location:- Columbus OH Hybrid Experience: - 15+ Responsibilities Integration Design & Development β€’ Design, develop, deploy, and support MuleSoft integration solutions using Mule ESB and AnyPoint Platform. β€’ Design and implement API-led connectivity solutions aligned with enterprise integration standards. β€’ Develop APIs and integrations using REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, JMS, and event-driven integration patterns. β€’ Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable integration services and APIs. β€’ Implement MuleSoft best practices and deliver solutions that meet defined business and technical requirements. β€’ Develop data transformations, validations, mappings, and business logic for enterprise integrations. β€’ Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. β€’ Support modernization and migration of legacy integrations to MuleSoft-based solutions. Architecture & Technical Leadership Collaborate with architects, business analysts, infrastructure teams, database administrators, and application teams to design enterprise integration solutions. β€’ Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to enterprise integration strategy and roadmap planning. β€’ Define and support API versioning, governance, lifecycle management, and integration standards. β€’ Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards, security requirements, and architectural best practices. β€’ Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior developers and integration team members. β€’ Translate business requirements into scalable technical integration solutions. Cloud, DevOps & Platform Support β€’ Configure, deploy, and support MuleSoft applications in CloudHub and hybrid environments. β€’ Build and support CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft deployments using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Maven, or similar technologies. β€’ Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational support processes where appropriate. β€’ Configure and maintain MuleSoft development, testing, and deployment environments. β€’ Support integration platform upgrades, patching, and operational maintenance activities. Security, Monitoring & Production Support β€’ Implement secure integration practices including OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/SSL, encryption, and API security policies. β€’ Ensure integrations comply with enterprise security, governance, and operational standards. β€’ Implement exception handling, logging, auditing, and monitoring frameworks for enterprise integrations. β€’ Monitor integration performance and proactively identify reliability, scalability, and operational concerns. β€’ Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of production integration issues. β€’ Participate in critical incident response and production support activities as needed. β€’ Optimize MuleSoft applications for performance, scalability, and reliability. Testing, Documentation & Data Analysis β€’ Develop and execute unit tests using MUnit and other testing frameworks covering both positive and negative scenarios. β€’ Perform data analysis, data profiling, and source-to-target mapping activities. β€’ Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, operational runbooks, and support procedures. β€’ Manage assigned projects, priorities, timelines, and deliverables effectively. Requirements Education & Certifications β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. β€’ MuleSoft Certified Developer certification required. β€’ MuleSoft Architect-level certifications are strongly preferred. β€’ Salesforce certifications are highly desirable. MuleSoft & Integration Experience β€’ Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and enterprise integration development. β€’ Strong experience designing and developing REST and SOAP APIs and enterprise integration solutions. β€’ Experience implementing API-led connectivity and reusable integration frameworks. β€’ Strong experience building APIs and integrating with third-party enterprise applications and platforms. β€’ Experience integrating MuleSoft with Salesforce and other cloud-based systems is required. β€’ Experience modernizing or migrating legacy integrations to MuleSoft is preferred. β€’ Strong understanding of ESB architecture, Mule connectors, API Manager, Exchange, and RAML design. β€’ Experience working with event-driven architecture and messaging technologies such as JMS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ is preferred. Programming & Technical Skills β€’ Strong programming experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, XML, JSON, and related integration technologies. β€’ Experience with Python or other modern programming languages is a plus. β€’ Strong SQL and data transformation skills. β€’ Experience integrating with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise databases. β€’ Experience designing scalable, high-availability, and fault-tolerant integration solutions. Cloud, DevOps & Tools β€’ Experience deploying and supporting integrations in CloudHub and hybrid cloud environments. β€’ Experience with Azure cloud platforms preferred. β€’ Experience with Git-based source control and branching strategies. β€’ Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Maven, or similar technologies. β€’ Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, ELK, AppDynamics, or similar platforms. β€’ Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or container-based deployment models is a plus. Security & Governance β€’ Strong understanding of enterprise integration security patterns and API security best practices. β€’ Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/SSL certificates, encryption, and secure API authentication mechanisms. β€’ Familiarity with enterprise governance frameworks and IT service management practices such as ITIL is preferred. Professional & Leadership Skills β€’ Experience working in Agile development environments and using Agile methodologies. β€’ Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications and production environments. β€’ Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams. β€’ Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and manage priorities independently. Experience working in large enterprises or government environments is preferred. If Hybrid the Office/ Building ( 35 East Chestnut Street Columbus, Ohio 43215) is open for work hours M-F 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM with mandatory on-site work Wednesdays.
