Job Title: MuleSoft Technical Lead
Duration: 06 Months
Location: Oakland, CA/Hybrid (Local candidates preferred)
Pay Rate: $122.06/hr
Position Summary
The MuleSoft Developer / Lead is responsible for hands-on design, development, deployment, and operational support of enterprise integrations using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. This role ensures API-led connectivity, adherence to CLIENT MuleSoft standards, CI/CD practices, and platform governance, while collaborating across business groups and Enterprise Integration (EI).
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design and build APIs and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4).
β’ Develop REST and SOAP APIs using RAML / OAS.
β’ Implement DataWeave transformations for XML/JSON payloads.
β’ Apply API-led connectivity patterns (Experience, Process, System APIs).
β’ Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Git, Maven, Jenkins).
β’ Write and maintain MUnit test cases (functional, negative, performance).
β’ Deploy applications across environments using CloudHub and/or Runtime Fabric (RTF).
β’ Support performance testing, capacity sizing, and tuning.
β’ Apply API Manager policies (security, throttling, logging).
β’ Ensure compliance with MuleSoft CAP, ARB reviews, and enterprise standards.
β’ Publish and maintain API assets in Anypoint Exchange.
β’ Participate in Architecture Review Board (ARB) and CAB processes.
β’ Troubleshoot production issues and support incident resolution.
β’ Monitor APIs using platform monitoring and logging tools.
β’ Perform root-cause analysis and support continuous improvement.
β’ Collaborate with platform admins on upgrades, patches, and runtime changes.
Required Skills & Experience
β’ Hands-on MuleSoft development experience (Mule 4).
Strong knowledge of:
β’ Anypoint Platform
β’ API design (RAML / OAS)
β’ DataWeave
β’ CI/CD and DevOps practices
β’ Experience with:
β’ CloudHub and/or Runtime Fabric (RTF)
β’ API Management, Access Management, and Monitoring
β’ Performance testing and troubleshooting
β’ Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns.
Preferred / Required Certifications
β’ MuleSoft Certified Developer β Mule 4 (required for senior roles)
β’ MuleSoft Certified Technical Lead or Platform Architect (for Lead roles)
