Role description
Spot On Talent is partnering with our client to hire a training leader who will build, deliver, and continuously improve Network Operations Control (NOC) training programs. This is a great opportunity to work with a respected, industry leading transportation company with a great culture.
The NOC Training Program Lead designs and facilitates training across critical operational disciplines—including NOC Customer Planner, Air Traffic Management, and Meteorology—ensuring programs meet FAA requirements and airline standards. This is a 12+ month contract engagement, working fully on-site.
What you’ll do:
• Manage training projects end-to-end (scope, schedule, resources, risk) and communicate progress to leadership
• Lead the vision, design, and rollout of training programs, materials, and lesson plans for new hire, specialty, and recurrent training
• Facilitate/instruct classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training; adapt delivery methods to audience and subject matter. Create and deliver clear, engaging presentations for frontline teams and leadership
• Develop curricula, assessments, and job aids that align with adult learning principles and operational requirements
• Maintain accurate training records, documentation, and version control that satisfy FAA and company audit standards
• Establish standards and procedures for NOC Operations training; ensure alignment with policies, SOPs, and safety/compliance requirements
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with operational groups and stakeholders to ensure training relevance and adoption.
• Gather and act on feedback; measure training effectiveness and time-to-proficiency; drive continuous improvement
• Maintain operational proficiency in your area of support if coming from a represented NOC classification (per CBA requirements)
Required qualifications:
• Must have advanced, hands-on experience in training facilitation and curriculum development for technical/operational audiences, and Project management of training initiatives
• Microsoft Office Suite with high proficiency in PowerPoint; strong Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint skills
• Solid understanding of curriculum design, training delivery for individuals and groups, and evaluating training impact
• Working knowledge of airline operations
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, prioritization, and time management
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate complex operational topics into clear, practical learning
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with competing priorities and deadlines
• Coaching and mentoring capability; able to gain buy-in and influence across levels and functions
• Creative, resourceful approach to building solutions and improving programs
• Team-oriented with professional interpersonal skills to collaborate with departments, labor groups, and external partners
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience developing training for NOC/operations disciplines such as Customer Planning, Air Traffic Management, or Meteorology
• Knowledge of FAA regulatory training requirements; experience supporting audits and compliance documentation
• Experience with learning technologies (LMS administration, eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate/Captivate, virtual classroom tools)
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, MS Project) and data visualization/reporting tools
• Background in airline Part 121 operations or similar safety-critical environments
