We have detailed the skill expectations as below. We would need an Observability Lead / Architect who has very strong experience in Observability, Grafana and Automation experience (Python Scripting/Shell), Kubernetes, AWS
Must have:
1. Grafana stack experience - metrics, traces, logs, Alloy agent experience, OTelCollector experience, exporters for different open source components, application metrics exporting
1. Troubleshooting in a Linux environment.
1. Programming - Python or equivalent language
1. Automation scripting - Shell scripts
1. AWS Cloud experience
1. Working with Kubernetes applications (mid-level experience), Helm charts
Good to have:
1. Other Observability platforms experience (Splunk etc.)
1. DevOps - Infra
1. Cloud Operations
1. Terraform
1. CICD with Jenkins
Expertise:
• Architecture & Solutioning
• AWS and Google Cloud infrastructure Services.
• Grafana and Observability as a Service.
• Platform Services and Web Applications monitoring.
• DevOps Expert Level.
• Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins and Kubernetes Services.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Spearhead and align technical and business discussions concerning future architectural direction across the product portfolio or product line.
• Define the solution architecture for Application Design and Integration design, incorporating security, performance, and scalability.
• Analyze the current state and design a roadmap and implementation plan for the future state, maintaining a cohesive architectural perspective.
• Design major aspects of the application architecture, including middleware and infrastructure components.
• Collect and analyze data to develop architectural requirements at the project level.
• Conceptualize technical solutions and select technology options based on solution requirements.
• Produce design documentation such as HLD, LLD, TAD, TDD, etc., as needed.
• Complete architectural deliverables for backlog items to prepare them for engineering.
• Participate in the enterprise architecture domain governance model.
• Contribute to the development of software and data delivery platforms with reusable and orchestra table components.
• Research and assess emerging technology, industry, and market trends to support project development and operational activities.
• Serve as the Architectural SME for the scrum team and review technical design.
• Promote the reuse of ideas, components, and proven patterns.
