OCI Cloud Database Engineer with ATP and Golden Gate Specialisation Location: Onsite Seattle,WA Employment: Contract Role Summary The Database Platform Services (DPS) team is adding two OCI specialist to support the build-out and ongoing operation of the Oracle Retail DAS / ATP Landing Zone and related OCI GoldenGate pipelines. This engineer will own internal delivery tasks that are outside vendor scope, including internal design governance, operational tooling, pipeline extensions, deployment automation, and long-term DAS operations. What You Will Do • Own internal tasks related to the ATP Landing Zone delivery alongside the implementation vendor, including environment governance, SR coordination with Oracle, and internal approval workflows • Design and implement OCI GoldenGate for Big Data (GG4BD) pipelines to stream DAS data to downstream consumers such as Confluent Cloud / Kafka topics, using Microservices architecture • Develop and maintain deployment automation for OCI GoldenGate and ATP resources using OCI CLI, Terraform, and/or the OGG REST API • Support DAS day-2 operations: replicat monitoring, lag alerting, trail file management, full refresh procedures, and new table onboarding • Partner with the DPS team lead and vendor on knowledge transfer; serve as the internal subject matter expert for OCI ATP Landing Zone and GoldenGate post-go-live • Build internal runbooks, alerting, and monitoring standards for the DAS/ATP environment within OEM / OCI Observability tooling • Evaluate and implement GoldenGate trail encryption, ATP Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), and network security posture for the DAS environment • Collaborate with data consumers (Analytics, Engineering, Integration teams) to support DAS schema questions, view consumption, and downstream pipeline design What You Bring • Hands-on OCI experience required with ATP administration, OCI GoldenGate (Microservices architecture), and OCI networking (VCN, subnets, security lists, DNS private zones, private endpoints) • Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data (GG4BD) experience required with Extract, Replicat, trail file management, Kafka/Confluent handlers, Avro serialization • Strong Oracle database fundamentals plus GoldenGate replication concepts, Data Pump, primary key / constraint management, supplemental logging • OCI deployment automation a must. Terraform and/or OCI CLI; OGG REST API experience a plus • Experience working with SaaS-sourced replication pipelines or target-initiated GoldenGate distribution paths preferred • Strong written and verbal communication — this role requires coordination across vendor, Oracle Support, and internal stakeholders Nice to Have • OCI certifications (OCI Architect Associate/Professional, Oracle GoldenGate certification) • Experience with Oracle Retail cloud services or MFCS DAS • Familiarity with Confluent Cloud / Kafka platform administration
