Role description
We are seeking a skilled Salesforce OmniStudio Developer to support digital transformation initiatives within the public sector. This role focuses on building secure, scalable, and citizen-centric solutions using Salesforce OmniStudio (Vlocity) to improve service delivery, streamline operations, and enhance constituent engagement. The ideal candidate has experience working in government or highly regulated environments and understands the importance of compliance, accessibility, and data security in public-facing systems. Responsibilities β€’ Design, develop, and maintain OmniStudio solutions, including OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors, and FlexCards, in support of Department of Defense (DoD) mission systems β€’ Translate functional and mission requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions aligned with DoD architecture standards β€’ Support modernization and migration of legacy systems to Salesforce Government Cloud/DoD-compliant environments as needed β€’ Develop and maintain secure integrations with internal and external DoD systems using REST/SOAP APIs and approved middleware β€’ Ensure all solutions comply with DoD cybersecurity and compliance frameworks, including NIST controls, FedRAMP and RMF requirements β€’ Implement security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and secure coding standards Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) β€’ 3+ years of Salesforce development experience β€’ Hands-on experience with OmniStudio tools β€’ Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL β€’ Experience developing secure integrations using REST/SOAP APIs β€’ Working knowledge of DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST 800-53, RMF, and FedRAMP requirements β€’ Familiarity with secure software development practices and DevSecOps principles β€’ Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments β€’ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (Secret or higher, as required) β€’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications β€’ Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, OmniStudio Developer Certification) β€’ Prior experience supporting DoD or other federal defense programs β€’ Current Secret or Top Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one β€’ Experience supporting ATO packages, security control assessments, and continuous monitoring activities β€’ Experience with DevSecOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Copado, or Gearset β€’ Knowledge of data governance, records management, and audit requirements in DoD environments β€’ Experience with large-scale case management, logistics, or personnel systems within defense programs
