Role description
About Turing:
Turing is one of the worldβs fastest-growing AI companies accelerating the advancement and deployment of powerful AI systems. Turing helps customers in two ways: working with the worldβs leading AI labs to advance frontier model capabilities and leveraging that work to build real-world AI systems that solve mission-critical business problems.
Role Overview:
We are looking for highly analytical professionals to join as S3 Annotators, responsible for producing and validating advanced OpenClaw trajectories for research-oriented tasks involving ambiguous goals, multi-step reasoning, and long-context workflows.
This role requires strong problem-solving ability, research thinking, and the capability to justify decisions while executing complex, multi-tool workflows used to train sophisticated AI agents.
What does day-to-day look like:
β’ Create and validate OpenClaw trajectories for complex, research-oriented tasks
β’ Work on tasks such as data analysis, web research, and document synthesis
β’ Operate under underspecified or ambiguous goals, making logical and defensible decisions
β’ Use Python (notebooks, scripts) for data processing, automation, and analysis
β’ Perform workflows spanning multiple tools, environments, and applications
β’ Clearly document both what actions were taken and why they were taken
β’ Review and improve trajectory quality for reasoning depth and correctness
β’ Collaborate with teams to refine evaluation standards and annotation frameworks
Requirements:
β’ Background in research, data science, engineering, or related fields (academic or industry)
β’ 5+ years of experience in Python / Bash, including experience with notebooks and data wrangling
β’ Experience with OpenClaw or similar advanced environments
β’ Experience with web research, scraping tools, or data analysis workflows
β’ Ability to articulate reasoning behind decisions and steps
β’ Experience handling multi-step workflows across tools or platforms
β’ Exposure to LLM-based tools, AI systems, or agentic workflows
Nice to Have:
β’ Academic research experience (thesis, publications, lab work)
β’ Familiarity with evaluation methodologies or experimental design
β’ Experience in AI evaluation, RLHF, or advanced annotation workflows
Perks of Freelancing With Turing:
β’ Work in a fully remote environment.
β’ Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI projects with leading LLM companies.
β’ Potential for contract extension based on performance and project needs.
Offer Details:
β’ Commitments Required: At least 4 hours per day and a minimum of 20 hours per week, with a 4-hour overlap with PST.
