Job Description:
OpenShift Architecture & Migration Design Specialist to lead the architecture, design, and migration of enterprise workloads onto OpenShift. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in OpenShift, Kubernetes, VMware, and Pure Storage, with proven experience designing scalable, secure, and resilient container platforms.Key Responsibilities
• Architecture Design
• Design the target architecture for OpenShift, including cluster topology, networking, and storage.
• Implement best practices for multi-zone / multi-region deployments.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
• Migration Design & Optimization
• Assess existing infrastructure and workloads for migration readiness.
• Develop migration plans for containerization, workload transfer, and data migration.
• Execute migration with minimal downtime.
• Identify and mitigate migration-related risks.
• VMware & Pure Storage Integration
• Design OpenShift architecture compatible with VMware environments.
• Work with VMware tools (vSphere, vCenter, NSX) for optimized deployments.
• Configure Pure Storage (FlashArray / FlashBlade) for scalable, high-performance storage.
• Ensure seamless integration of OpenShift, VMware, and Pure Storage.
• CI/CD Pipelines & DevOps
• Build CI/CD pipelines tailored for OpenShift.
• Integrate GitOps tools and DevOps workflows (Jenkins, GitHub, ArgoCD).
• Automate deployments, scaling, and monitoring.
• Scalability & Security
• Architect solutions for future scalability.
• Implement RBAC, network policies, encryption, and other security controls.
• Conduct periodic audits and assessments.
• Collaboration & Documentation
• Work closely with DevOps, development, and operations teams.
• Deliver complete documentation and configurations.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer.Required Skills
