This is installing OpenShift on bare metal and then integrating ACM, ACS and Quay - rebuilding their old environment that has a lot of issues. The resource request that is being posted will probably focus on ACM, ACS, and Quay as the core
Technical Requirements
β’ OpenShift Virtualization (OSV): Hands-on experience managing and deploying VMs within a Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
β’ Migration Tooling: Proficiency with Red Hat MTV (Migration Toolkit for Virtualization) or similar conversion tools (e.g., virt-v2v).
β’ Virtualization Fundamentals: Strong understanding of VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi) and Linux KVM-based virtualization.
β’ OS Administration: Solid knowledge of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server administration to troubleshoot guest OS drivers and tools.
β’ Basic Networking/Storage: Understanding of Kubernetes networking (OVN-Kubernetes) and storage classes as they relate to persistent volumes for VMs.
β’ Automation: Proficiency with Ansible and ability to run and modify playbooks to automate precheck, migration, and post-check tasks.
Required Skills:
β’ Bachelor's in Computer Science or other engineering or technical discipline is required
β’ 8+ years of experience in information technology and/or professional services, with emphasis on subject matter expertise
β’ At least 5 years of experience as an OpenShift Engineer, deploying and maintaining clusters on both cloud and on-prem enterprise environments
β’ At least 5 years experience with OpenShift RBAC, authentication, logging and monitoring
β’ At least 5 years experience with Kubernetes and container workloads
β’ At least 5+ years experience with Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHV) and/or OpenStack Platform
β’ Experience with Red Hatβs OpenShift Virtulization and Migration Toolkit for Virtualization
