OpenText Exstream Developer

Job Title: OpenText Exstream Developer Location: Iselin, NJ (South) / Mount Laurel, NJ – Onsite 4 days a week Duration: 6 months Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled OpenText Exstream Developer with experience in both OT Exstream and OpenText Command Center. The role involves developing, maintaining, and migrating document composition applications, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime during system transitions. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain document composition applications using OpenText Exstream. • Validate and test as part of the OpenText Command Center migration activities. • Analyze existing applications, assess migration impacts, and implement necessary changes. • Prepare and execute detailed unit test plans for Exstream applications. • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and SMEs to translate requirements into scalable solutions. • Support migration activities from OpenText Exstream to AUTOSYS tools. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in document generation, template design, and output delivery. • Conduct code reviews and ensure the quality, security, and maintainability of developed applications. • Maintain clear documentation for technical configurations and migration-related tasks. Required Skills & Experience: • 5+ years of experience with OpenText Exstream Development (Design Manager, Command Center, scripting, and templates). • 3–5 years of experience with OpenText Command Center job scheduling. • Strong UNIX/Shell scripting skills and familiarity with document composition concepts. • Proven experience with data integration and transformation within Exstream. • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities. • Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Preferred Skills: • Experience with migration from OpenText Exstream to AUTOSYS. • Solid understanding of UNIX/Linux text processing tools. • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
