OpenText Exstream Developer
Position Overview:
Are you passionate about transforming business requirements into efficient, scalable document composition applications? As an OpenText Exstream Developer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing solutions that streamline document creation and output management. Youβll collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Lead the design, development, and maintenance of document composition applications using OpenText Exstream.
β’ Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
β’ Develop and modify Exstream templates, workflows, and scripts, ensuring they meet business needs while optimizing for performance and scalability.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to document generation and output, delivering seamless solutions to users.
β’ Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and best practices throughout all development activities.
β’ Provide expert-level technical support and training to end-users and colleagues.
β’ Stay current with the latest OpenText Exstream updates, features, and other relevant technologies to continually improve processes.
β’ Conduct code reviews, ensuring the quality, security, and maintainability of all developed solutions.
β’ Document development processes, procedures, and share best practices for ongoing optimization.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
β’ 3-5 years of experience working with OpenText Exstream (formerly Client Exstream).
β’ Proficiency in UNIX or Shell scripting and strong understanding of document composition concepts.
β’ Expertise with Exstream Design Manager, Live Editor, and related components.
β’ Strong experience in Exstream scripting and template design, along with data integration and transformation processes.
β’ Deep knowledge of XML, XSLT, and associated technologies.
β’ Experience with version control systems such as Git.
β’ Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex issues.
β’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
β’ Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience with other Customer Communication Management (CCM) platforms.
β’ Knowledge of SQL and database management.
β’ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
β’ Certification in OpenText Exstream or related technologies.
