Role description
Job Title: Operations Data Analyst (Career Level)
Location: 300 Lakeside Dr, Oakland, CA 94612 (Hybrid – 1 day/week onsite required)
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $40–$50/hr (W2 Only)
Important Location Requirement
Only candidates currently local and residing near Oakland/Bay Area will be considered. This is a hybrid assignment requiring onsite presence in Oakland once per week.
Position Summary
The Operations Data Analyst will report to the Manager of Smart Meter Programs. This role is responsible for extracting data, developing analytical insights, supporting leadership initiatives, and responding to ad hoc data requests. The analyst will also maintain operational tools and databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across multiple systems.
This individual will collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Program Management, Resource Planning, Field Operations, and IT teams to deliver business solutions, automate workflows, and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage, monitor, and optimize ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Develop automated data routines and reporting processes ensuring accurate data transformation and cleansing
• Maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for multiple business units
• Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and data reliability
• Perform database troubleshooting, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Support data integrity, governance, and quality initiatives
• Maintain documentation for data solutions and knowledge sharing
• Respond to ad hoc data requests and leadership inquiries
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL Server preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in T-SQL
• Experience working with ETL processes and structured data environments
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
