Role : Operations Data Science & Analytics Lead
Location : Remote
Contract
As an Operations Data Science & Analytics Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling data science and analytics solutions to support decision-making across Global Operations.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Lead data science and analytics strategy aligned with Lamβs enterprise analytics standards, principles, and COE guidelines.
β’ Partner with Global Operations business units to identify business problems and opportunities, define requirements, and deliver data-driven solutions.
β’ Develop proof-of-concepts, perform back-testing, and translate analytical insights into scalable production solutions.
β’ Manage and coordinate enterprise-level analytics, data science, and architecture programs aligned with business goals.
β’ Design and deploy advanced analytics, AI/ML models, and scalable business processes to support measurable business outcomes.
β’ Apply continuous improvement and lean-agile methodologies to accelerate analytics delivery and adoption.
β’ Collaborate closely with data architecture, application development, and business development teams to design complex, compliant solutions.
β’ Develop meaningful KPIs and metrics aligned with enterprise and line-of-business strategies.
β’ Present insights and recommendations through clear storytelling and executive-ready visualizations.
β’ Ensure transparency of deliverables, timelines, and progress while leading cross-functional project teams.
β’ Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships at all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience:
o Bachelorβs degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or
o Masterβs degree with 8+ years, or
o PhD with 5+ years, or equivalent experience.
β’ Technical Expertise:
o Strong experience building AI/ML, advanced analytics, and data science solutions in enterprise environments.
o Advanced SQL skills for extracting and transforming data from enterprise data platforms including SAP HANA, SQL Server, Data Factory, Data Fabric, Synapse, and related systems.
o Expertise in Python, R, Power BI, MS Excel, and statistical modeling techniques.
o Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality standards, and governance frameworks.
β’ ERP & Domain Knowledge:
o Hands-on experience with SAP ECC / S4 HANA or similar ERP systems.
o Deep knowledge of manufacturing and operations domains including Material & Vendor Master, Purchasing, MRP, Order Management, BOM, Logistics, Spares, and Warehouse Management.
o Manufacturing domain experience strongly preferred.
β’ Business & Communication Skills:
o Proven ability to present complex analytics insights to senior leaders and large audiences.
o Strong storytelling and visualization skills to drive executive decision-making.
o Experience producing clear, concise reports in multiple formats (Power BI, PDF, Word, BI tools).
