Join a dynamic team as an Optical Design Technologist, where you will play a crucial role in developing innovative AR optical prototypes. Responsibilities
• Develop augmented reality applications using Unity or Unreal Engine for prototype testing and user studies.
• Assemble AR optical prototypes, utilizing both off-the-shelf and custom components.
• Conduct optical measurements to assess display performance and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Design database schemas for experimental data storage and automate data collection processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document and present findings effectively.
Skills
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in building AR/VR systems or prototypes.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, C++, Python, or MATLAB.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills
• Experience in user studies and research methodologies related to AR display quality.
• Familiarity with CAD software for designing custom fixtures.
• Knowledge of rapid prototyping techniques, including 3D printing.
• Ability to correlate subjective feedback with objective optical measurements.
