Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. β€’ Designs, documents, and implements new Enterprise application solutions within the IT environment for the Utilities department. β€’ Provides ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements to existing and new software applications. β€’ Performs troubleshooting of infrastructure systems affecting application performance. β€’ Creates and maintains detailed application/program documentation. β€’ Contributes to reviewing and implementing IT application-based policies, procedures, and standards. β€’ Collaborates with cross divisional team members to perform root cause analysis of complex problems. β€’ Consults with internal team/management/vendors to discuss security issues for both short term projects and long-term department security initiatives. β€’ Works with vendors and business users to develop and implement software integrations. β€’ Analyzes users' business requirements in the development and modification of computer systems. β€’ Coordinates and assists in planning and feasibility/requirements analysis to determine the viability for proposed systems. β€’ Troubleshoots and implements for non-enterprise applications and solutions. β€’ Assists in writing technical specifications ensuring that information dissemination meets the standards of quality for systems development. β€’ Performs related work as required. Required Education and Experience: β€’ Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and β€’ Seven (7) to ten (10) years' experience working with and maintaining enterprise level computer applications OR β€’ An equivalent combination of education and/or experience (i.e., one year of relevant full-time experience may substitute for one year of education). β€’ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. β€’ Experience with Oracle-based applications, in particular Customer Care & Billing and Oracle Analytics Publisher. β€’ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Visio. β€’ Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
