Job Title: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - USC/GC Only
Contract on w2
Location: 100% Remote
Contract position for at least a year will extend or convert permanent.
Top skills: OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Fusion, engineer/ architect level , integration. Must have strong knowledge and experience in OCI.
β’ Knowledge of all infrastructure technologies (compute, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial off the shelf (COTS) and open source packages and solutions, virtual and cloud including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS); infrastructure management tools and monitoring tools; solution sizing for hardware/software platforms; industry standard security requirements and designs.
β’ The role involves maintaining OCI environments, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting OCI services, as well as managing the OCI console. Responsible for administering and supporting various modules, including patching, and performing environment refreshes, migrations, and upgrades. Provide support for incidents and implement FinOps best practices to track cloud spending, optimize resource utilization, and enforce cost control measures.
β’ Develop and enforce an OCI tagging strategy to ensure proper tracking and monitoring of cloud resources and traffic flows. The position requires working within ITIL or similar frameworks to manage incidents, service requests, and change control processes effectively. Experience working in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments highly preferred.
