Position: Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Consultant Duration: Long-term contract, expected up to 36 months Location: Detroit, MI (Onsite Position) Client: City of Detroit (Detroit Water and Sewerage Department) Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Application Analyst – Integrations to support enterprise application integration, data flow, testing, and workflow improvement initiatives for a public-sector utility client. The consultant will work closely with internal business and technical teams to understand application needs, document workflows, support system integrations, perform testing, troubleshoot issues, and help improve business processes across critical software platforms. This role requires strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, application integrations, APIs, middleware, testing, and business workflow documentation. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Meet with business users and internal teams to gather and document business requirements. β€’ Analyze existing applications, systems, workflows, and integrations. β€’ Design, configure, test, and support application integrations. β€’ Support middleware, APIs, web services, and data mapping between enterprise systems. β€’ Troubleshoot application, data flow, integration, and system issues. β€’ Develop and support test cases for integrations, software upgrades, and application changes. β€’ Support user acceptance testing and coordinate testing with business users. β€’ Document business workflows and recommend improvements to reduce inefficiencies. β€’ Help improve transaction transparency, data accuracy, and customer-facing system performance. β€’ Identify risks, dependencies, and conflicts between applications, systems, and business processes. β€’ Support application enhancements, upgrades, replacements, and implementation activities. β€’ Provide training or knowledge transfer to end users and internal teams when needed. β€’ Work with client staff, project teams, and stakeholders in an onsite environment. Required Skills And Experience β€’ 8+ years of progressive experience as an Application Analyst, Integration Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar IT role. β€’ 5+ years of experience with application integration design and development. β€’ 5+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle applications, or OCI-based integration work. β€’ Strong experience with APIs, middleware, web services, data mapping, and enterprise system integrations. β€’ Experience developing test cases for integrations, software upgrades, and application changes. β€’ Experience supporting UAT, QA processes, and testing documentation. β€’ Experience documenting business workflows and recommending workflow improvements. β€’ Strong troubleshooting skills for application, integration, and data-related issues. β€’ Ability to work with business users and technical teams. β€’ Strong written and verbal communication skills. β€’ Must be able to work onsite in Detroit, MI during the initial phase of the project. Preferred Experience β€’ Experience with public-sector or utility-sector projects. β€’ Experience with Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing. β€’ Experience with enQuesta customer information system. β€’ Experience with CityWorks or GIS-based work order management systems. β€’ Experience with customer portals, payment systems, or billing integrations. β€’ Experience with Java, Python, SQL, stored procedures, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud-native microservices. β€’ Experience supporting data quality, customer privacy, data security, and customer satisfaction initiatives. Education β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field is required. β€’ Master’s degree is preferred.
