🚀 Hiring: Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer / Database Administrator 📍 Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid) 🕒 Duration: Contract 💻 Interview: Webcam Only Experience-10+ Years 🔎 Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer / DBA to design, manage, and optimize Oracle cloud and database environments. This role requires strong expertise in OCI, database administration, middleware, and high-availability architecture. ⚠️ Note: • Participation in on-call rotation is required • Occasional after-hours/weekend support based on workload 🛠️ Key Responsibilities • Design and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments • Administer Oracle Databases, WebLogic, APEX, and ORDS • Execute database upgrades (19c → 26ai), migrations, and conversions • Implement backup, recovery, and DR solutions (RMAN, Data Guard) • Monitor and optimize database performance and tuning • Automate workflows using Shell scripting & Ansible • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams • Ensure high availability, security, and compliance • Provide 24/7 production support & troubleshooting ✅ Required Skills • 10+ years of Oracle Database Administration • Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) • Expertise in: • Oracle Database 19c / 26ai • CDB & PDB architecture, PDB cloning • RMAN, Data Guard, Backup & Recovery • Oracle WebLogic Server 14 (Admin & Patching) • Oracle APEX (18+) & ORDS (22+) • Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM 24ai) • Hands-on with Linux/Unix & Shell scripting • Experience with DBaaS in OCI • Knowledge of GitLab & Ansible automation ➕ Additional Skills • Strong understanding of cloud architecture & HA/DR design • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes • Scripting knowledge: Python / JavaScript • Expertise in performance tuning & database security • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) • Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills ⭐ Nice to Have • Oracle certifications (OCIP / OCP / OCE) • Experience with microservices & API integrations • Exposure to AWS/Azure environments 📌 Experience Requirements • Oracle Database 11g – 10 years • Oracle Database 12c – 6 years • Oracle Grid Control (13c) – 7 years • Oracle WebLogic / Fusion Middleware – 7 years • Oracle APEX Administration – 5 years • DB Migration (Solaris → Linux) – 10 years • RMAN / Data Guard / Backup & Recovery – 10 years • Performance Tuning & DBA Activities – 10 years • Production On-call Support – 10 years 📩 Interested?
