The ideal candidate combines Foundry platform experience with front‑end development expertise, solid Python/Spark engineering, and a product‑focused mindset to create intuitive, performant experiences for data consumers. Exposure to Palantir AIP is a plus. Key responsibilities • Design and implement user‑facing Foundry applications and tools with a strong emphasis on user experience, accessibility and usability. • Build, maintain and optimize Foundry transforms, code repositories, and pipelines using Python and Spark. • Develop front‑end components and application logic using TypeScript, modern frameworks, and Foundry’s UI patterns or SDKs. • Translate product and stakeholder requirements into intuitive UI/UX designs, prototypes, and production features. • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, product owners and delivery teams to integrate datasets, ontology, and application logic. • Ensure performance, scalability, and data lineage across Foundry pipelines and application workflows. • Write tests, automation, and documentation; maintain code quality and follow engineering best practices (CI/CD, version control, code review). • Participate in discovery workshops, user testing and iteration cycles to continuously improve usability and adoption. • Support deployment, debugging and operational handover; provide runbooks and onboarding for end users. • Integrate Foundry applications with external systems; AIP experience or familiarity with integration patterns is advantageous. Must‑have skills & experience • Practical experience developing on Palantir Foundry (datasets, transforms, code repos, applications, and ontology awareness). • Strong front‑end development skills with TypeScript and modern UI frameworks (React or equivalent). • Proficient in Python and Spark for data transformations and pipeline development. • Good understanding of UX principles, prototyping, and translating user research into product features. • Solid software engineering fundamentals: testing, CI/CD, version control (git), and code review processes. • Experience working in cross‑functional delivery teams and engaging with stakeholders at multiple levels. • Excellent communication skills and an outcome‑oriented, user‑centric approach. Nice‑to‑have • Exposure to Palantir AIP (Application Integration Platform) and integration patterns.
