Role description
Position: Palantir Foundry Engineer Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite) About the Role We are seeking a skilled Palantir Engineer (Foundry) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying data solutions within Palantir Foundry, including ontology modeling, pipeline creation, and application-layer development. Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end Palantir Foundry applications. • Develop and manage Foundry ontologies, including object modeling, relationships, and semantic layers. • Build, optimize, and monitor Foundry pipelines (ingestion, transformation, orchestration). • Develop application-layer components using Foundry’s tooling (Code Workbook, Object Workbook, app frameworks). • Translate business and operational requirements into scalable Foundry solutions. • Partner closely with onsite stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, clinical, and supply chain teams. • Deliver production-ready applications within short, iterative development cycles (6–12 weeks). • Support long-term maintainability under Build–Operate–Maintain or Build–Operate–Transfer engagement models. Requirements • Proven experience with Foundry ontology design and modeling • Experience in Foundry pipelines (ETL/ELT, transformations, orchestration) and Foundry application layer development • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with Typescript/JavaScript for UI components. • Demonstrated ability to deliver independently with minimal ramp-up. • Experience working onsite with enterprise stakeholders. Preferred Experience • Prior work in regulated or complex enterprise environments (healthcare, medical devices, manufacturing). • Experience supporting: • Smart manufacturing • Yield improvement / scrap reduction • Supply chain visualization and analytics • Clinical or operational data platforms • Familiarity integrating Foundry with Databricks or other ML platforms.
