Role description
Palantir Foundry Engineer Location: 100% Remote (U.S.) Employment Type: Contract (12+ Months) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Palantir Foundry Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale data solutions within the Palantir Foundry platform. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in building scalable data pipelines, developing ontologies, creating operational applications, and enabling data-driven decision-making across manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, logistics, and business operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with data architects, application teams, and business stakeholders to integrate enterprise data sources, develop semantic data models, and build scalable Foundry solutions that enhance operational efficiency and business intelligence. Required Technical Skills • Palantir Foundry • Pipeline Builder • Ontology Manager • Workshop • Contour • Code Repositories / Code Workspaces • Data Lineage • Python • PySpark • SQL • ETL / ELT Development • API & Enterprise System Integration Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Palantir Foundry. • Build and manage enterprise ontologies representing business processes, assets, products, suppliers, and operational workflows. • Develop robust data ingestion frameworks integrating ERP, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and operational systems. • Create and maintain Foundry Workshop applications supporting operational workflows and business decision-making. • Develop dashboards and visualization solutions using Contour, Quiver, and other Foundry visualization tools. • Implement data quality controls, monitoring, health checks, lineage tracking, and governance standards. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions. • Support CI/CD processes, application testing, deployment, production support, and platform enhancements. • Develop solutions supporting predictive analytics, operational intelligence, AI-driven workflows, and enterprise reporting. Required Qualifications • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry. • Strong experience with: • Pipeline Builder • Ontology Manager • Workshop • Contour • Code Repositories / Code Workspaces • Data Lineage • Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL. • Experience designing, developing, and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines. • Experience integrating enterprise data through APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and other data sources. • Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, security, metadata management, and lineage. • Experience working within Agile development environments. Preferred Qualifications • Palantir Foundry Certification(s). • Experience with Palantir AIP and Generative AI capabilities. • Experience developing ontology-driven operational applications. • Experience within Manufacturing, Automotive, Supply Chain, or Logistics environments. • Experience with AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Kafka, or Databricks. • Experience building dashboards and visualizations using Slate, Quiver, or Contour. • Exposure to real-time analytics, operational intelligence, and cloud-based enterprise data platforms.
