Palantir Foundry Engineer -- long term contract
Hybrid -- 1 week onsite per month
Description:
We are seeking a skilled Palantir Foundry Engineer to design, build, and optimize data-driven solutions on the Palantir platform. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, hands-on experience with Foundry, and a solid foundation in data engineering and pipeline development.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain data transformations, ML workflows, and automation scripts using Python and SQL.
Work with Palantir Foundry modules such as Ontology, Code Workbooks, Code Repositories, and Workshop.
Design and implement ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data quality, normalization, and integrity.
Build and orchestrate data pipelines leveraging tools like PySpark, Foundry Transformation Language (FTL), and low-code interfaces.
Develop dashboards and operational UIs to enable business users and analysts.
Collaborate with teams to model Ontologies (semantic layers representing real-world entities and relationships).
Apply best practices in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerization (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
Use Git for source control and contribute to collaborative development.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Requires strong expertise in the UI layer with Workshop, Contour and Slate in addition to being able to ingest data using Pipeline Builder and build the object modeling for the workflows using ontology manager and OSD
Strong programming knowledge in Python and SQL (Java or C++ is a plus).
Experience with Palantir Foundry platform and its core modules.
Hands-on expertise in data engineering, pipeline development, and modeling.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and version control.
Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
Typescript is a plus -- not mandatory
