Manager Technology – PEGA Engineer Location: Remote within the United States (Preferred EST/CST Time Zones) Travel: Occasional travel to Detroit, MI (2–3 times during the engagement) Duration: Long term contract Start Date: Immediate About the Role: We are seeking an experienced PEGA Engineer to join a high-impact technology engagement with a leading automotive client. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in PEGA configuration, performance tuning, and platform optimization within enterprise-scale environments. The ideal candidate will bring a strong engineering mindset, deep PEGA platform knowledge, and experience working across cloud, database, and infrastructure technologies. This position requires someone who can troubleshoot complex issues, optimize application performance, and collaborate effectively with distributed teams. Key Responsibilities: • Design, configure, and optimize PEGA applications and platform components • Perform PEGA performance tuning, troubleshooting, and system optimization • Support enterprise-scale PEGA deployments and platform stability • Collaborate with architects, developers, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable solutions • Work with databases and application integrations to improve overall system performance • Support CI/CD processes and deployment automation initiatives • Participate in architecture discussions and provide technical recommendations • Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence Required Qualifications: • Strong hands-on experience with PEGA engineering and platform configuration • Experience with PEGA performance tuning and optimization in production environments • Solid Java development experience • Experience working with PostgreSQL or other enterprise databases such as Oracle • Exposure to cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP • Experience with containerization and DevOps tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines • Strong troubleshooting and system administration skills • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment across EST/CST time zones Preferred Qualifications: • PEGA certifications such as CSA, CSSA, or LSA • Experience supporting enterprise-scale distributed systems • Automotive industry experience is a plus but not required • Experience with cloud-native or modernization initiatives
