Role: Perception Machine Learning Algorithm Engineer location: Newark, CA Onsite Contract: W2 Role Overview: We're looking for an experienced Perception Engineer to develop advanced perception algorithms for Level 2/3 autonomous driving systems using camera and LiDAR data. Key Responsibilities: • Build and optimize deep learning models for object detection, segmentation, and tracking. • Research and implement BEV-based transformer models for 2D/3D perception tasks. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth integration and deployment. • Test and deploy algorithms in prototype and production vehicles. • Propose innovative solutions to improve autonomous driving capabilities. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Strong foundation in deep learning, especially in perception (object detection, tracking, etc.). • Proficient in Python and familiar with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow. • Comfortable with large codebases and debugging complex models. • Skilled in designing test pipelines for ML models. • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3+ years of experience (or a Ph.D. for senior roles). • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred: • Experience with BEV transformer models and C++. • Hands-on testing of perception systems in real-world environments. • Agile development experience and system-level testing expertise.
