Location: Hybrid, 3 days per week onsiteOverview
We are looking for an experienced Performance Analyst to support a Local Authority within Children's Services. The role will focus on delivering accurate and timely statutory returns, with a key emphasis on the CiN Census and SSDA903.
This is a hands on role requiring strong data analysis, system knowledge and stakeholder engagement across multiple service areas.Key Responsibilities
• Lead on the preparation, validation and submission of statutory returns, specifically:
• Children in Need Census (CiN)
• SSDA903 Return
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness and compliance with statutory requirements
• Work with service areas to identify and resolve data quality issues
• Extract, analyse and interpret data from case management systems
• Support continuous improvement of data quality and reporting processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Children's Services, Lifelong Learning and Families
• Provide insight and performance reporting to support decision making
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for submissionsKey Requirements
• Proven experience as a Performance Analyst within Local Government
• Strong background in Children's Social Care data and reporting
• Experience delivering statutory returns including CiN Census and SSDA903
• Working knowledge of case management systems, ideally Mosaic
• Strong data analysis and data quality management skills
• Experience working with large datasets and performance reporting
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast paced environmentDesirable
• Experience within Children, Lifelong Learning or Families services
• Advanced Excel or Power BI skills
• Experience improving data quality frameworks and processes
• Rates depend on experience and client requirements
