Job Title: Performance Analyst – SFIA Level 4 Location: Manchester / Leeds / Sheffield (Hybrid Working) Contract Type: 6-month Contract (Inside IR35) Start Date: 11 August 2025 Security Clearance: BPSS Reporting To: Senior Performance Analyst, Collaboration and Communication Services (C&CS) Role Summary: We are seeking a Performance Analyst to support the Digital Workplace Function, specifically working with the Email and Microsoft Office team within the Collaboration and Communication Services (C&CS). This role will focus on delivering data-driven insights and performance measurement to enhance the user experience of internal digital services. You will operate under the guidance of a Senior Performance Analyst and work within a multi-disciplinary team. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Lead the development of performance measurement frameworks and meaningful KPIs. β€’ Apply quantitative and qualitative data analysis to drive service improvement. β€’ Work closely with stakeholders, user researchers, and service teams to deliver actionable insights. β€’ Communicate analysis clearly using appropriate formats and tailored messaging for varied audiences. β€’ Interpret and analyse user data to guide service design and delivery decisions. β€’ Support the collection, validation, preparation, and cleansing of data. β€’ Use Power BI, Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and Azure Data Services to build dashboards and performance reports. β€’ Leverage BigQuery and Google Tag Manager for advanced data analysis, tracking, and reporting. β€’ Ensure compliance with digital service standards and accessibility principles. Essential Skills and Experience: β€’ Demonstrated 5+ years of experience working within performance analysis or similar roles. β€’ Strong technical capability in: β€’ Microsoft Power BI β€’ Microsoft Azure Data Services β€’ Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, BigQuery, Looker Studio β€’ Statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and significance evaluation β€’ Experience in designing and implementing performance frameworks and KPIs. β€’ Skilled in user-centred analysis, translating user research and behaviour into strategic insight. β€’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly. β€’ Familiarity with data quality assurance and preparation best practices. Desirable Skills: β€’ Experience in public sector, internal services, or large-scale digital transformation. β€’ Exposure to agile environments and iterative delivery. β€’ Understanding of data privacy, security, and governance frameworks. Working Arrangements: β€’ Hybrid working from Manchester, Leeds, or Sheffield (site attendance may be required). β€’ Contract duration: 6 months β€’ BPSS clearance required prior to onboarding. β€’ Hands-on use of internal platforms including Microsoft Azure and Power BI for accessing and processing staff activity data.
