Job Summary:
We are seeking a Business Analyst with deep domain knowledge in pharmaceutical lab operations and a strong understanding of data integration platforms. This role will serve as the critical link between scientific users, IT teams, and data engineersβgathering requirements, defining data workflows, and supporting the implementation of lab data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Act as a liaison between pharma lab stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements.
β’ Understand laboratory workflows (PDM, QC, R&D) and instrumentation (HPLC, LIMS, ELN, Empower) to support digital lab transformation efforts.
β’ Define integration needs for lab data using platforms such as Tetrascience and support API- and ETL-based data pipeline design.
β’ Ensure alignment with metadata standards, semantic models, and ontologies such as Allotrope for structured, FAIR data outputs.
β’ Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to translate scientific needs into actionable data models and requirements.
β’ Prepare functional specifications, process maps, and traceability matrices to support project delivery.
Core Skills & Qualifications:
β’ Proven experience as a Business Analyst in pharma, biotech, or scientific R&D settings.
β’ Strong understanding of lab informatics systems and data workflows (HPLC, LIMS, ELN, Empower, etc.).
β’ Familiarity with data integration concepts, APIs, and data platforms (Tetrascience experience preferred).
β’ Understanding of semantic modeling, metadata tagging, and ontologies such as Allotrope.
β’ Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience in GxP-compliant environments and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
β’ Exposure to data governance, data science workflows, and digital lab initiatives.
β’ Knowledge of FAIR principles and modern scientific data architectures.
