Duration: 3 months contract role (Eligible for extension pending performance and budget availability.)
Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid role) - 3 days in office/week. Tues & Thurs required, flexible on the 3rd day.
Pay rate: $80-84/hr. On W2 (Without Benefits)

Job Description:
The Platform Architect will lead the design and evolution of Client's AI-driven data and analytics platforms, enabling intelligent automation and agent-based workflows at scale. This role combines strategic architecture leadership with hands-on engineering across AI orchestration, data pipelines, and platform infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bridge AI innovation and enterprise-grade engineering, partnering with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver next-generation capabilities for analytics, governance, and autonomous agents.

Key Responsibilities:
AI Platform Architecture:
β’ Define and maintain AI-first architecture for data and analytics platforms, integrating LLMs, agent frameworks, and orchestration layers.
β’ Design agentic workflows for data stewardship, hierarchy management, and firmographic enrichment.
β’ Architect multi-agent systems for automation, predictive analytics, and decision intelligence.
β’ Ensure AI components comply with responsible AI principles, security, and governance standards.
Agent Development & Orchestration:
β’ Build custom AI agents for data quality, enrichment, and operational workflows.
β’ Implement agent orchestration frameworks for scalable execution across distributed environments.
β’ Integrate AI-driven rules engines for dynamic data governance and override logic.
Platform Engineering:
β’ Develop and optimize platform services for Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, SQL Server, and Collibra.
β’ Implement infrastructure-as-code for provisioning, scaling, and monitoring AI-enabled platform components.
β’ Drive observability for AI workloads through APM, logging, and performance dashboards.
Data Engineering:
β’ Design and implement data pipelines for structured and unstructured sources (ERP, CRM, telemetry).
β’ Apply ETL/ELT best practices for ingestion and transformation at scale.
β’ Re-engineer foundational data assets into AI-ready architectures (Medallion, Gold Layer).
Innovation & Governance:
β’ Champion AI-driven orchestration for automation and predictive analytics.
β’ Implement data quality frameworks, metadata management, and master data governance.
Required Skills & Experience:
β’ 8+ years in data architecture, platform engineering, and data engineering roles.
β’ Expertise in cloud-native platforms (Azure, AWS) and distributed systems.
β’ Strong experience with Databricks, Spark, SQL, Python, and AI/ML frameworks.
β’ Familiarity with agent orchestration tools and multi-agent architectures.
β’ Proven ability to design scalable, cost-efficient AI platforms for analytics and automation.
β’ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience with LLM-based agents, orchestration frameworks, and AI governance.
β’ Knowledge of Medallion architecture, EDA frameworks, and agentic design patterns.
β’ Background in platform observability and performance optimization for AI workloads.
