Role description
Platform Architect and Engineer On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Platform Architect and Engineer for a 6-month role. This position is onsite at our clientβs Charlotte, North Carolina office. Job Description: The Web Proxy Platform Architect & Engineer is a senior technical leader responsible for designing, engineering, and deploying secure, scalable web proxy solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. The role involves enhancing the current platform to align with business requirements, risk management, and security objectives. Responsibilities:
Lead architecture, engineering, and deployment of enterprise web proxy platforms (SSE, CASB, SWG, ZTNA).
Serve as technical authority and mentor, setting standards, best practices, and technical direction.
Integrate proxy solutions with SIEM, security tools, and data sources for visibility and threat mitigation.
Establish and transition operational procedures, troubleshooting complex multi-platform issues.
Automate security workflows, develop advanced alerts and dashboards, and optimize proxy policies.
Mandatory Skills:
7+ years in cybersecurity engineering with deep experience in on-prem and cloud-based proxy platforms.
SME-level expertise with Forcepoint, Palo Alto/Prisma Access, Broadcom, Squid, and related technologies.
Advanced knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, web protocols, PKI, logging, scripting, and attack vectors.
Proven leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with Linux server administration at a large enterprise.
Initiative and ability to engage in projects and get up to speed quickly.
Ability to communicate complex problems simply.
Assignment Length: This is a contract position with the possibility of conversion after 6 months. Start Date: ASAP. Assignment Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. This position is onsite 5 days a week.
