Population Health Informaticist (AI Training)
About The Role
We're partnering with leading AI research teams to build smarter, more accurate health intelligence systems — and we need population health experts to help shape them.
As a Population Health Informaticist, you'll apply your expertise in health data and analytics to evaluate, improve, and inform AI models focused on public health. Your insights will directly influence how AI understands population-level trends, disparities, and health outcomes.
This is a remote, flexible contract role that lets you contribute meaningful work on your own schedule.
• Organization: Alignerr
• Type: Hourly Contract
• Location: Remote
• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
• Analyze and evaluate population health data, metrics, and AI-generated insights for accuracy, relevance, and completeness
• Identify trends, disparities, and gaps in how AI systems interpret community health data
• Review and provide structured feedback on dashboards, data pipelines, and reporting frameworks generated by AI
• Translate complex health data concepts into clear, actionable annotations and evaluations
• Assess whether AI-produced strategies and health recommendations align with evidence-based public health standards
• Flag errors, inconsistencies, or gaps in AI outputs related to population health surveillance and decision-making
Who You Are
• Experienced working with healthcare, public health, or population-level datasets
• Skilled in data analysis and visualization, including dashboards and reporting tools
• Able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
• Familiar with epidemiological concepts, health equity frameworks, or social determinants of health
Nice to Have
• Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI evaluation workflows
• Background in public health informatics, epidemiology, biostatistics, or health services research
• Familiarity with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SAS, R, or Python for health data analysis
• Experience working with EHR data, claims data, or national health survey datasets
Why Join Us
• Work on cutting-edge AI projects in collaboration with top research labs
• Fully remote and asynchronous — work when and where it suits you
• Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and meaningful global collaboration
• Contribute to AI development that has real implications for public health and health equity
