Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server Job Description/ Responsibilities Job Description: we are seeking a top-rated technologist with the experience and background in the financial services industry that will enable them to excel in a dynamic and highly technical environment. The candidate will work on enhancing applications that support our Positive Pay ops. These include applications that are built entirely in-house as well as processes that work with vendor-based applications. The successful candidate will need technological skills as well as organizational and communication skills. Qualifications β€’ 5+ years’ experience working .Net C# development β€’ 5+ years’ experience working C, C++ (legacy components) β€’ 5+ years' experience working on UI development β€’ Positive Pay / Payee Positive Pay β€’ Check fraud detection workflows β€’ ARP (Account Reconcilement Processing) & exceptions handling β€’ Strong organizational and communication skills β€’ Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines β€’ Demonstrate ability to work on multiple projects at the same time β€’ Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality β€’ Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative / matrix environment Must Have (Core) Programming / Frameworks: β€’ C / C++ (legacy components) β€’ .NET / C# (application logic, UI) Databases: β€’ Oracle or SQL Server (schema design, stored procedures, tuning) β€’ Integration / Middleware: β€’ Flat-file batch processing (CSV, fixed-width, BAI2) β€’ SFTP workflows β€’ MQ (WebSphere MQ / IBM MQ) Banking Domain Knowledge: β€’ Positive Pay / Payee Positive Pay β€’ Check fraud detection workflows β€’ ARP (Account Reconcilement Processing) & exceptions handling β€’ Infrastructure & Ops: β€’ Windows Server (2008/2012/2016) administration β€’ Job scheduling (Control-M, AutoSys, or Windows Task Scheduler) β€’ Active Directory / LDAP integration β€’ Leadership / Process: β€’ Leading small development & ops teams β€’ Vendor management (Fiserv or third-party code maintainers) β€’ Incident & release management in regulated environments Nice to Have (Future-Facing) β€’ Programming / Integration: β€’ Java or Python (for custom scripts, modernization hooks) β€’ SOAP/XML web services (legacy treasury portals) β€’ REST/JSON APIs (if moving toward modernization) β€’ Cloud & Modernization: β€’ Experience with AWS/Azure migration of legacy workloads β€’ Event-driven design (Kafka, MQ modernization) β€’ Microservices or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) β€’ Banking & Compliance: β€’ Familiarity with FFIEC / OCC audit requirements β€’ Knowledge of check image standards (TIFF, JPEG2000, X9.37) Tools & Reporting: β€’ Splunk / ELK for log monitoring β€’ BI/reporting tools for fraud analytics
