Role description
PostgreSQL Data Architect (CDC & AWS) – London | Hybrid | 6–12 Month Contract
We're looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Data Architect with strong Change Data Capture (CDC) expertise to lead large-scale database modernisation and migration projects in AWS. You'll design enterprise PostgreSQL platforms, architect real-time data integration, and drive DB2 to PostgreSQL migrations while ensuring performance, scalability, and data integrity.
Key Skills:
• PostgreSQL & AWS (Aurora PostgreSQL)
• DB2 to PostgreSQL migration experience
• CDC solutions (IBM/Precisely or equivalent)
• Kafka, S3, Python & SQL
• Data modelling, indexing & partitioning
• Performance tuning & high availability
• Schema conversion, validation & reconciliation
• Terraform, GitLab CI/CD
• Event-driven architecture & CQRS
• CloudWatch/Grafana monitoring
Location: London (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite)
Contract: 6–12 months
Rate: Excellent day rate available.
