Position Title: PostgreSQL DBA Location: Berkeley Heights New Jersey 07922 Duration: 09-12 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion) • • • Due to client requirements this role is only open to USC OR GC candidates • • • Job Description: As a Database Administration - Sr Professional I, you will be instrumental in managing and maintaining our database systems. Your expertise will ensure that our databases operate efficiently and securely, providing vital support to Client’s operations and our clients. You'll be part of a dedicated and innovative team, driving excellence in database administration to enhance data integrity and performance. What you'll do: - Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure high availability and performance. Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required. Collaborate with development teams to ensure optimal application performance and efficient database design. Develop and enforce database management policies and procedures. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary. Experience you'll need to have: - 5+ years of experience in database administration 3+ years of experience in SQL and performance tuning 3+ years of experience in database security 3+ years of experience with backup and recovery tools 3+ years of experience with PostgreSQL 2+ years of experience with Automation and Scripting tools like Python/Shell and Ansible. 4+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience Experience that would be great to have: Experience with one or more of: and MongoDB, MySQL, Cassandra & Yugabyte Experience with cloud-based database solutions (AWS, Azure) Experience with database design and architecture Experience with database migration projects.
