Position Details: Sr Cloud Engineer, Product Technology- San Diego CA Location : San Diego CA 92121 Project Duration : 6+ Months (Contract to hire) Pay rate : $60-$67 per hour on W2 The Opportunity Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions. This role is within the ARDx Cloud and Connectivity group, working on connected and data solutions. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Agile Execution: Deliver robust quality software (code reviewed, unit tested, detail design documents, well commented) to the planned schedule Architectural Contributions: Own design and architecture on individual software components and/or subsystems Documentation: Summarizes and presents details of designs in collaborative design reviews Security and Compliance: Follows all Abbott software coding standards and processes. Qualifications A Bachelor s degree in an engineering discipline with 5+ years of experience, or a Master s degree with 3+ years of experience. Ability to come on site 5 days a week, San Diego office. Must have at least 2, prefer 3: • Strong knowledge of micro services, RESTful, APIs, and Event-Driven Architectures • Proficiency in python 3.8 • Hands on experience with containers and orchestration technologies (Docker and Kubernetes) • Hands on experience with both relational and non-relationship databases Experience with Development environment: Ubuntu, Azure DevOps, Git. Good understanding of Authentication\Authorization and OAuth 2.0\Open ID Connect standards.
