Job Title: Power BI / Fabric Admin
Location: Remote
Long term Contract
Power BI Admin JD :
β’ Provide Power BI Admin Support - perform routine checkout to ensure Power BI Service and Gateways availability.
β’ Support and administer the on-premises Gateway including routine upgrades, creating DS connections, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
β’ Assist with onboarding new users including but not limited to establishing Workspaces, assisting with IdentityIQ requests, debugging access issues, establishing gateway connection etc.
β’ Work with the Software Packaging team to package Desktop software namely Power BI Desktop and Report Builder at Microsoft recommended cadence.
β’ Proactively work with Wintel team to ensure gateway availability and stability post System maintenance window.
β’ Assist with health check exercises with Microsoft including providing historical access logs and implementing third-party vendor recommendations.
β’ Manage relations with Microsoft and opening support tickets with Microsoft agents when necessary.
β’ Perform routine activities for keeping pace with Technology like driver install / update, DSN creation / update, debugging etc.
β’ Assist with transition from Power BI to Fabric.
β’ Monitor Power BI capacity and identify and help resolve capacity constraints.
β’ Ensure users and implementing best practices for their reporting.
β’ Well-versed in Fabric features such as OneLake, Notebook, Data Warehouse, etc.
SAS Admin JD :
β’ Provide SAS Admin Support - perform routine checkout to ensure SAS services.
β’ Perform installation and configuration of the appropriate versions of SAS and executing grants based on the list of approved tickets.
β’ Performing any SAS patching and version upgrade based on the steps documented inside the playbook developed by application owner.
β’ Server logs monitoring will be performed for all SAS Production, Test and Development servers.
β’ Execute and monitor metadata backups and resolve failed backups as per clientβs policy and application requirements.
β’ Identify and recommend actions for locking conflicts, latch connections, rollback requirements for all SAS servers.
β’ Proactively monitor and provide support for SAS and related systems infrastructure for conditions such as space availability, backups, blocking locks, log errors, alerts, and job failures.
β’ SAS performance monitoring using Dynatrace tool/Environment manager.
β’ Monitoring the system utilization, CPU, memory, storage performance metrics using Dynatrace tool.
β’ DR setup, support and testing.
β’ Coordinate with respective teams to plan for any SAS application and its components infrastructure changes like OS patches.
β’ Monthly incident reports need to be collected for a monthly review for the client
β’ SAS support is responsible to find root cause analysis for all problem incidents.
β’ Responsible for deployment of codes during release management thru Jenkins
β’ Support packaging team to provide all necessary details for preparing packages related to SAS clients softwareβs.
β’ Document all SAS admin work and upload it to share point.
β’ Co-ordination with SAS vendor for software support.
β’ Analysis of workload on SAS on weekly basis for health check.
Tableau JD:
β’ Install, configure, and upgrade Tableau software and server components
β’ Monitor and optimize Tableau server performance, availability, and capacity.
β’ Create/Manage Groups, Workbooks and Projects, Database Views, Data Sources and Data Connections
β’ Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic support at L2 / L3 level for these technologies
