Role description
Adecco Creative and Marketing partnered with an educational publishing company to hire a Data Analyst. Job Title: Power BI Analyst Location: Hybrid – New York City (Onsite Tuesday through Thursday) Assignment Duration: 6 Months (Temp-to-Perm) Pay Rate: • Experienced Candidate: $45–$53/hour (based on experience) Interview: 2 hours onsite which includes assessment/case study Job Description: • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models supporting business functions. • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate them into actionable reporting solutions. • Collaborate with Data Engineering to design optimized data structures and ETL requirements for analytical use. • Contribute to the Power BI community of practice through best practice documentation, knowledge sharing, and process improvement. • Support self-service BI users through communications, collateral and training material. • Monitor Power BI Server capacity and proactively identify risk factors that could lead to performance issues. Qualifications: • Experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data product development roles. • Strong proficiency in SQL, including advanced techniques such as CTEs and window functions for dataset manipulation, with familiarity across variations in popular database systems. • Advanced proficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, Power Query, and dashboard design). • Experience collaborating across technical and business teams; ability to translate analytical findings into business insights. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills with the ability to work independently on multiple projects. This is a W2 position.
