Power BI Architect / Senior Developer with Fabric
Location: Newark, NJ (3 Days Onsite – No Remote)

SKILLS REQUIRED
Primary (Must-Have):
• 8–10 years of experience in Power BI development and architecture
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric (Mandatory)
• Expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Strong hands-on experience with DAX and Power Query (M)
• Experience in Data Modeling, Star Schema, Fact & Dimension Modeling
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data integration
• Experience with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or cloud-based data platforms
• Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions
• Understanding of BI architecture, security, access controls, and data governance
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Secondary (Good to Have):
• Experience with APIs and data integration tools
• Experience leading and mentoring BI development teams
• Knowledge of Power BI performance tuning and best practices
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale reporting environments
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Architect / Senior Developer to lead Power BI and Microsoft Fabric initiatives. The ideal candidate will help drive new implementations, enhance existing reporting solutions, guide development teams, and ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing BI solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI solutions using Microsoft Fabric
• Gather business requirements and translate them into intuitive dashboards and reports
• Develop data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations
• Support new BI implementations and enhancements to existing production reports
• Guide and mentor BI developers, ensuring adherence to best practices
• Review and validate solution designs, development, and deployments
• Implement and maintain security, access controls, and governance standards
• Troubleshoot reporting and data issues and provide effective solutions
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to align with target-state BI architecture
• Support performance optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
