Role description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Power BI Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing business intelligence solutions that enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, analytics, and visualization tools, particularly Power BI, to transform complex data into actionable insights. Duties Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Implement data modeling techniques to optimize performance and usability of BI solutions. Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources including NoSQL databases, SQL Server, Oracle, and Hadoop. Utilize cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure for data storage and processing. Work with big data technologies like Spark and Azure Data Lake to manage large datasets effectively. Ensure the quality and integrity of data through rigorous testing and validation processes. Participate in Agile development methodologies to deliver projects on time. Provide guidance on best practices for database design, analytics, and reporting. Experience Proven experience in Power BI development with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java for data manipulation and analysis. Familiarity with Informatica for ETL processes is preferred. Experience working with linked data concepts and analytics frameworks. Strong knowledge of database design principles, including experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQL databases, and Hadoop environments. Understanding of data warehouse concepts and architecture. Experience with Bash (Unix shell) scripting for automation tasks is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
