Primary Services is actively recruiting for a Power BI Business Analyst to support a leading organization in the energy sector. This role is central to enabling go-to-market and retention teams by improving customer experience, driving process improvement, and delivering solutions across multiple functional areas. The position offers the opportunity to partner with IT, Marketing, Operations, and other key business units to make an immediate impact on business outcomes while gaining exposure to high-profile projects and long-term career opportunities.
Responsibilities
β’ Serve as a subject matter expert for Non-Commodity Operations across multiple systems and processes.
β’ Monitor operational metrics, analyze results, and implement corrective measures to maintain performance standards.
β’ Evaluate and refine business processes, ensuring proper controls and documentation for recurring activities.
β’ Identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
β’ Design and manage database solutions and process improvements to support business operations.
β’ Develop and document business requirements for new marketing and operational capabilities.
β’ Facilitate cross-functional collaboration for retail campaigns, product launches, and project delivery.
β’ Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure successful implementation of new capabilities.
β’ Provide regular status updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
β’ Partner with product owners and IT teams to deliver enhancements, projects, and production fixes.
Qualifications
β’ Minimum 7 years of experience in operations, IT, project management, or consulting.
β’ Experience leading cross-functional team projects from requirements through implementation.
β’ At least 6 months to 2 years of professional experience in the retail energy industry.
β’ Bachelorβs degree preferred.
β’ Proficiency in database tools such as Oracle, SQL Server, or SaaS for developing and executing scripts.
β’ Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI, to identify trends and inform decisions.
β’ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Power BI, and MS Project.
β’ Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
β’ Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across levels.
