Role description
PowerBI Developer (Start: ASAP)
Rate Cap: $45-48/Hr. (on W2, all-inclusive)
Required Experience: 6 to 10 years
Role Overview: The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions within the Microsoft Power BI / Fabric environment. This role will work closely with the Data Engineer to build the analytics layer that consumes data from AWS S3 via OneLake shortcuts and delivers actionable insights to engineers, quality personnel, and leadership.
GMP experience is a must.
Resource will need to work from Indianapolis client office at least 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Phase 1 Deliverables
• Develop data visualization to support the Foundry operational reporting needs
• Configure and establish the Fabric workspace with appropriate security controls for Red data
• Set up OneLake shortcuts to AWS S3 buckets containing data (Bronze/Silver/Gold zones)
• Design and build semantic models (datasets) using Direct Lake mode for optimal performance
• Develop initial Batch Review Dashboard integrating MES and LIMS data
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) aligned with Red access requirements
• Establish report development standards and templates
Phase 2 Deliverables
• Expand reporting suite to include Tech Transfer Status tracking
• Build operational KPI dashboards for leadership
• Integrate enterprise reference data from marketplace (SAP materials, QMS events)
• Implement embedded SEEQ visualizations for process analytics where needed
• Create self-service analytics capabilities for power users
• Document semantic model design and report architecture
Ongoing Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Data Engineer on data pipeline requirements and data quality issues
• Gather requirements from engineers and translate into BI solutions
• Troubleshoot and optimize report performance
• Support data governance and security compliance review
