We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Consultant (Principal Data Analyst) for a contract engagement to lead advanced data analysis and support the development of robust data solutions. This role is critical in providing the team with a comprehensive understanding of the data landscape, uncovering complexities, and informing mapping strategies based on a clear grasp of data logic and business rules.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to translate analytical findings into actionable insights, build intuitive dashboards, and guide data-driven decision-making.
οΏ½? Key Responsibilities
β’ Conduct in-depth data analysis across multiple systems to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and opportunities
β’ Evaluate and document the data landscape, including data sources, flows, and dependencies
β’ Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver clear, actionable insights
β’ Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand data logic and business rules
β’ Translate complex data relationships into effective data mapping and transformation strategies
β’ Lead efforts in data quality assessment, validation, and improvement
β’ Provide expert guidance on data governance, security, and best practices
β’ Support stakeholder engagement through clear communication and presentation of findings
??? Required Skills & Experience
β’ Proven experience as a Power BI Consultant, Principal Data Analyst, or similar role
β’ Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
β’ Strong understanding of data structures, logic, and business rules
β’ Experience working with complex datasets from multiple sources (e.g., SQL, Excel, cloud platforms)
β’ Ability to communicate insights effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders
β’ Familiarity with ETL processes, data governance, and data quality frameworks
β’ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
