Power BI Consultant - Sr Data Engineer

Job Summary Power BI - Sr. Technical Consultant Must have 6+ years of Power BI and hands on SSIS experience. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Power BI engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding the functional & technical direction of projects, ensuring the successful implementation of innovative solutions, particularly in the field of Data Analytics. This role requires a blend of Power BI experience, SQL experience, some SSIS experience, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The scope of this project is to support the retirement of a SSIS/SQL Server environment and help with the migration to Power BI. Duties Understand the existing data and process flow Support the existing data flows in SSIS when necessary Work on the design and build of the future state data model Perform data pre-processing such as data transformation to support report building (might be in PBI desktop or out in the PBI service) Perform data analysis wherever applicable to support report building Design, build and implement Power BI reports and dashboards Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Work with engineers/off-shore based on functional requirements Assist with unit testing & report validation in the new environment Document processes, technical specifications, and project updates for internal use. Experience 8+ Years of data warehousing, reporting and analytics experience 3+ Years of SSIS/SQL/SQL Server 6+ Years of Power BI experience (desktop or PBI service) 3+ Years of DAX and Power Query 2+ Years of Power BI service experience 6+ Years of data modeling experience 6+ Years of SQL experience 6+ Years of functional experience gathering requirements, performing data modeling and delivering reporting solutions 6+ Years of data warehousing/data analytics/ETL/Database design A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred MUST HAVE excellent written and verbal communication skills Job Type: Contract Pay: $65.00 - $85.00 per hour Work Location: Remote
